2009 MTV Europe Music Awards Performances

Host Katy Perry took stage for the performance also at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin.

She opened the show with an homage to Liza Minnelli in Cabaret, transforming the stage into the ‘Katy Kat Club’ and performing a routine in a bowler hat, waistcoat, thigh high boots and knickers emblazoned with a silver heart. She sang a medley of other people’s songs, including Poker Face by Lady GaGa.

The global music icon Beyonace Knowles walked away with three of the night's biggest awards --Best Female,Best Song, ("Halo") and Best Video, ("Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)"). She had been nominated for four EMAs, including Best Live Act. Thewin for Best Video repeats her win at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs),held in New York last September 13. Beyonce used the occasion in Berlin to thank her husband, Jay-Z for "putting a ring on it."

Shakira gave a stirring performance at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards held at the O2 Arena in Berlin, Germany on Thursday (November 5).

The Colombian hot singer performed her latest single, “Did it Again,” as she promotes her upcoming “She Wolf” album release on November 23rd.
