The Artivist Film Festival celebrates six years of fostering filmmaking among artistic advocates, and this year, it hosts a brand-new lineup of the best in international shorts, documentaries, animation, experimental, narratives, and indie features.

The 6th Annual Artivist Film Festival Honors top Advocate Artists at their Awards event. This year the honorees are Olivia Wilde, Hank Azaria and producer Stephen Nemeth. The Awards took place on December 5th at 8pm at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood.

This year, the festival kicked off with the powerful and poignant film, La Mission, starring Benjamin Bratt and Jeremy Ray Valdez, directed and written by Peter Bratt. The film takes us to the heart of the Mission District in San Francisco as we follow the story of Che, his son Jesse, the new neighbor next door and the “Mission Boyz”, through a whirlwind of social issues.
Actress, and activist Olivia Wilde and Actor Hank Azaria both accept the Artivist Award, honoring those artists whose exemplary work in their community stands out as a shining example of one person's ability to change the world for the better.
